So a few days ago, my official grades for my M. Sc. rolled in.\u00a0 That same day, I went to the Bahen Centre, turned in my desk keys, got my keycard authorization revoked, and scheduled my computer for erasure.<\/p>\n
It felt like some pretty big steps.\u00a0 There was a palpable sense of finality.\u00a0 I was out.\u00a0 It was over.<\/p>\n
The University has played a big role in my development, and despite all of my moaning and complaining over the years, I’m glad I went, and I’d do it again.<\/p>\n
But not right now.<\/p>\n
Graduate school almost didn’t happen for me, and I have two very important people to thank for making that happen:\u00a0 Karen Reid<\/a> and Greg Wilson<\/a>.<\/p>\n I still fondly remember when you cornered me during that codesprint in 2009, and convinced me to try graduate school.\u00a0 I don’t regret it.\u00a0 It was the right decision.\u00a0 So thank you both so much<\/strong> for convincing me, and giving me the chance, and thank you Greg for supervising, and guiding me through.<\/p>\n I learned lots.\u00a0 I had fun.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n Shakespeare wrote that brevity is the soul of wit.\u00a0 Well, I<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" So a few days ago, my official grades for my M.
